Silica Gel Flower Drying for Wedding Bouquet Preservation

Our flower drying silica gels are CoCl2-free and go through a dust removal process to ensure safe and healthy use. The small lightweight beads are ideal to preserve flowers and petals with minimal to no discoloration and fading. The sand contains 10% orange humidity indicating crystals that will turn dark green when saturated, enabling you to easily identify when the silica gels need to be recharged or replaced.

The saturated silica gels can be reactivated and reused. Our 6lbs flower drying silica gel is stored in an air-tight sealed container for long-term preservation and protection, with a handle that makes it easy to carry and pour.

Preserving your wedding bouquet can be a way to extend the beauty and value of your flowers, and create a lifelong memento. Our fine silica gel crystals are lightweight, putting less pressure on fresh flowers, and the beads will absorb moisture without damaging flowers, altering the colors, or changing their shape.

We recommend wearing a mask and using gloves when handling the product, as our fine silica gel crystals are Cocl2-free and odorless, treated with dust-proof technology, and absorb moisture without the use of chemical reactions.

The flower drying sand is composed of 90% clear silica beads and 10% orange humidity indicating silica crystals. The orange crystals change color to blackish green when they become saturated with moisture, allowing you to easily see when your desiccant needs to be recharged or replaced.

Silica gel can be reactivated by spreading the silica gels in a shallow metal sheet and placing it in a 120℃/ 250℉ oven for 30-60 mins or until all green crystals turn orange again. The recharging process may be shorter or longer depending on the amount of silica gels.

To use the flower drying silica gels, follow these steps:

1. Pour a layer of crystals about 1.5 inches thick into an air-tight container.
2. Make sure flowers are dry. Trim flower stems & insert them upright into the silica gel. Flat-faced flowers can be placed face down or long flowers can be laid on their side.
3. Gently add silica gel until all the petals are fully covered while keeping the flower shape intact.
4. Seal the container and store it in a cool and dry place for 3-7 days. Note: Drying time will vary depending on the type of flower.
5. Once dry, gently remove each flower and shake out silica gel crystals, brush off any remaining crystals with a soft brush.
